Problem
Isolierdiscounter is a well-known retailer in the field of insulation materials. The online shop's sales have grown extremely rapidly in recent years, pushing the largely self-built Shopify shop to its limits.
The shop was based on a standard Shopify theme, which was expanded with several apps to increase its functionality. The apps increased the shop's loading times.
Shopify Hydrogen frontend
Goal
An online shop was to be developed that corresponds to the latest state of the art. Fast loading times and a modern user experience were to increase the purchase rate (conversion rate) in order to make online advertising more profitable.
At the same time, the aim was to significantly improve the ranking on Google, ChatGPT, and other search engines by creating a fast, technically clean shop. The numerous Shopify apps were also to be consolidated in order to improve performance and save on licensing costs.
Easy content management via headless CMS
Solution
Within six weeks, an online store relaunch was carried out based on Shopify Hydrogen. The front end (user interface) was developed with Shopify Hydrogen, replacing the old theme. The Shopify back end, including all product data and connected systems, remained completely unchanged.
In order to continue maintaining content quickly in-house without developers, a headless CMS (content management system) with live editing was integrated, completely replacing the Shopify Theme Editor. Product data continues to be maintained in the Shopify backend. This makes it easy and intuitive to maintain the entire online shop.
