How Cheribundi established direct online sales with its own online store and Amazon
Problem
Sales were mainly generated offline via B2B (fitness studios, hotels, clubs, etc.). The brand's existing Shopify online store had various technical problems, such as incorrect display of the user interface, incomplete mobile optimization for smartphones and long loading times.
Agencies and freelancers had already been commissioned to optimize the store and for online marketing, but the results were completely lacking.

Goal
As it was clear that the brand's growth targets could only be achieved with strong direct online sales, the brand wanted to focus on its own Shopify online store and Amazon as the largest online marketplace. Therefore, the existing online store needed to function flawlessly and be state of the art in order to be future-proof and scalable.
On this basis, profitable online marketing via paid advertising was to take place. Due to Cheribundi's ambitious sales targets, the new store was to be developed within a very short time and a separate Amazon seller account was to be set up as quickly as possible.

Solution
Within just 8 weeks, a completely new user interface was developed using Shopify's own Hydrogen framework. This is based on the headless approach, which means that the backend or administration area of Shopify continues to be used and therefore all connections to merchandise management, billing or ERP systems can remain in place.
The headless approach has been used for years by successful market leaders such as Nike, Louis Vuitton, Zalando, etc. and has several advantages. The technology is state-of-the-art, which means that Cheribundi is absolutely future-proof and at the same time has a competitive advantage over conventional online stores. This applies in particular to loading speed and flexibility.
Within 4 weeks, a separate Amazon seller account was created in direct cooperation with Amazon, the products were listed and advertising was started. At the same time, the advertising campaigns for the online store were launched on Meta (Facebook + Instagram) and Google, including YouTube. After just three months, direct online sales via the company's own online store and Amazon became the strongest sales channel ahead of the B2B business.
